Upton Manor Farm Campsite is just under one mile from the centre of Brixham with its quaint old fishing harbour and new fish market. Brixham has been a fishing port for over 900 years and today life still revolves around its busy harbour. Two other coastal towns, Paignton and Torquay, together with Brixham have become known as the English Riviera with over 22 miles of lovely unspoilt coastline.
Upton Manor Farm Campsite is an ideal base to discover places of interest and scenic beauty for which this area is famous. In Brixham Harbour boats can be hired and fishing trips arranged as well as pleasure boat trips to Dartmouth and Torquay. Inland you will find places such as Buckfast Abbey, Saltram House, Plymouth Hoe, Anthony House which featured in the film Alice in Wonderland, Exeter Cathedral, Dartington Hall and Dartmoor National Park. There are stunning drives from Dartmouth along the coast going past Blackpool Sands and Slapton Beach to Kingsbridge and Salcombe.
Many famous artists appear in the plays, musicals, family shows and concerts that are presented in the Princess Theatre in Torquay throughout the summer season. The cinemas at Torquay and Paignton are within easy reach. Paignton Zoo, The Living Coast, Kent's Cavern, The Model Village, The Dart River Railway, Paignton Railway and the Aquarium at Torquay are all most enjoyable and offer a wide variety of things to do and see.
For the more energetic there is a water park, golf courses, a go-kart track, Cayman golf and swimming pools, with Brixham having its own outdoor seawater lido - one of the few remaining in the country.
